Tax Returns

The administrative burden for clients to comply with all statutory duties and deadlines can be very demanding. We will assist you with these as effortlessly as possible. The less time you spend on this means more time for leisure or running your business.

Self assessment personal tax returns for individuals and sole traders

Each April as the Government sends out its 9 million or so tax returns we send all clients a personalised letter detailing the records we need to complete your tax return based on the previous year. If you need further help we can also discuss this over the phone. If not already done so we will prepare business accounts for sole traders and letting accounts for those who rent out property. On completion we thoroughly review your return, calculate your tax liability (or refund), provide you with a detailed letter and schedule of return entries to keep. Last but not least we advise you of what tax to pay and when. After you have approved your return we submit it for you to HM Revenue & Customs electronically.

Self assessment business tax returns for partnerships

Partnership returns are based on the business accounts and other relevant information. Partners’ details and figures can be seamlessly transferred to personal tax returns if required. After you have approved your partnership return we submit it for you to HM Revenue & Customs electronically.

Self assessment business tax returns for companies

Corporation tax returns are based on the business accounts and other relevant information. Once completed, the corporation tax liability is calculated. After approval returns are submitted to HM Revenue & Customs electronically with accounts and tax computations on your behalf. We will advise you of your company's liabilities and the due dates. We will also file a copy of the accounts (either full or abbreviated as required) electronically with Companies House.

Electronic Filing

We are committed to filing tax returns electronically and have done so since the 1990s. The Government has now made it mandatory for the electronic filing of most returns but this is routine for us as we've been doing it for many years. Currently we file all of the above tax returns electronically plus employers’ annual returns, vat returns and various Companies House forms and returns . Electronic filing is very quick and efficient and with a proof of filing receipt we know it has been received. A big bonus is that figures do not have to be re-entered manually so the risk of the authorities making typing mistakes is eliminated.
